Wolf River Community Bank Receives Wisconsin SBA Award and BLP’s Lender of the Year Award
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recently recognized Wolf River Community Bank for its lending support with the a 2021 SBA Award: Wisconsin SBA Volume Lender for Asset Size $200 – $300 million. One of the bank’s lenders, Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Commercial Lending, Joe Lautenschlager, also was acknowledged for his work with small businesses by receiving the Business Lending Partners’ 2021 Lender of the Year Award.
Wisconsin SBA Award
Wolf River Community Bank received the SBA Award at the 2022 Wisconsin Lenders Conference on May 19, 2022 at the Kalahari Resort and Conference Center in Wisconsin Dells. The award reflects the bank’s work with local businesses in a variety of industries.
Wolf River Community Bank was one of 18 lenders to receive 2021 SBA awards in volume and specialty categories. SBA-approved lenders made an unprecedented $1.074 billion via 1744 loans to Wisconsin small businesses from October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021.
Lender of the Year Award
Bank AVP, Joe Lautenschlager, was one of two lenders to receive Business Lending Partners’ 2021 Lender of the Year Award at the 2022 Racine County Economic Development Corporation’s Annual Meeting on April 14, 2022 at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Racine. The award recognizes Lautenschlager’s support for multiple small businesses to access financial solutions for their growing needs.

Wolf River Community Bank points out that commercial lending is an area at the bank with a lot of growth potential. Earlier this year, the bank welcomed Tom Pennings as Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Banking Officer to their lending team. “Tom has decades of experience working with Fox Valley businesses,” said Bloxham. “He has already begun to build impactful business relationships and I look forward to what the future has in store for Wolf River Community Bank.”
