Hortonville Banker Joe Peikert Appointed as Officer on Wisconsin Bankers Association Board
MADISON – Joe Peikert, president and CEO of Wolf River Community Bank, Hortonville, will serve as the 2024–2025 vice chair of the Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA) Board of Directors.
“We greatly appreciate Joe’s time and talents on our Board of Directors,” said Rose Oswald Poels, WBA president and CEO. “Through his role as an officer, his leadership will continue to have a positive impact on Wisconsin’s banking industry and communities.”
Peikert joined Wolf River Community Bank in 2007 and became president/CEO in 2013. Peikert is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and minor in accounting from UW-Platteville. He is an alumnus of the Graduate School of Banking at UW-Madison (GSB).
Peikert’s community involvement includes serving on the boards of Central Wisconsin Trout Unlimited, Fox West YMCA, and the Hortonville Community Food Pantry, the Bankers Advisory Board of GSB, and the Grants in Excellence Committee of the Hortonville Area School District.
Also serving as officers on the WBA Board are: Chair Alvaro (Al) Araque, SVP, director of consumer, private, and business banking, Johnson Financial Group, Racine; Chair-Elect Paul Northway, president and CEO, American National Bank – Fox Cities, Appleton; and Past Chair Donna Hoppenjan, president and CEO, Mound City Bank, Platteville.
Joining the Board for three-year terms are: Shane Ilstrup, president, Citizens First Bank, Trempealeau; Jimmy Kauffman, president and CEO, Bank of Sun Prairie; Todd Nagel, president and CEO, IncredibleBank, Wausau; and Tim Schneider, president and CEO, Bank Five Nine, Oconomowoc.
